ABOUT

Charity Baptist Church has been a consistent witness in the Downriver Detroit area of Southeast Michigan since 1988. Dr. Richard Arnold pastored Charity Baptist for over 23 years until the Lord called him home. Pastor Wayne Halleck is only the second pastor in Charity Baptist’s history.

Charity Baptist Church has, since its beginning, believed and proclaimed the Bible as the infalliable and inerrant word of God.

It is our conviction that in this day of spiritual confusion and frustration man’s greatest need is a personal relationship with Jesus Christ. Therefore, we emphasize the preaching of the Gospel and personal soulwinning. All of our ministries and various activities are blended together to stengthen one’s faith thus building Christian homes that will stand the test of this day.

Our Church services remain Bible-based.

We do not follow the trends of the Contemporary church movement. Our desire is to preach the Word of God without apology. We love to sing the hymns of the faith. We desire to take the Gospel to the world, and keep worldliness out of the Church. We desire to please the Lord in everything that we do.
