What We Believe

We believe . . .

We believe the Bible is God’s Word; that it was written by men divinely inspired; and that it is the supreme, infallible authority in all matters of faith and conduct. We use only the King James Version of the Bible (AV 1611) in all of our ministries.

We believe in Jesus Christ, the eternal and only begotten Son of God, conceived of the Holy Spirit, born of a virgin, sinless in His life, and making atonement for the sins of the world by His death. We believe in His bodily resurrection, His ascension, to glory and His visible, premillennial return to the earth.

We believe in the Holy Spirit who came to convict the world of sin, righteousness and of judgment, and to regenerate, indwell, sanctify, and comfort those who believe in Jesus Christ.

We believe all men, by nature and by choice, are sinners, but that “…God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life” (John 3:16). Therefore, we believe that salvation is NOT by religious ritual or religious tradition, but that those who accept Christ as Savior and Lord will rejoice forever in God’s presence and those who refuse to accept Christ as Savior will be forever separated from God.

We believe in the Church, a living spiritual body of which Christ is the head and of which all regenerated people are members. We believe that a local church is a company of believers in Jesus Christ, each one immersed on a credible confession of faith, and associated for worship, work, and fellowship. We believe God has given two ordinances to the local church, baptism and the Lord’s Supper.

We believe every human being is primarily and ultimately responsible to God in all matters of faith; that each church should be independent and autonomous and must be free from any ecclesiastical or political authority; that, therefore, church and state must be kept separate as having different functions, each fulfilling its duties within its sphere but with intercooperation.
